FSSAI Registration
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) mandates that every food business operator (FBO) in India must obtain an FSSAI licence. This applies to manufacturers, processors, distributors, retailers, transporters, and online food businesses. FSSAI registration ensures food safety standards and is issued based on the scale of operations – Basic Registration (turnover up to ₹12 lakh), State Licence (₹12 lakh to ₹20 crore), or Central Licence (above ₹20 crore).
